WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO PICK UP YOUR JEEP
All drivers need to be present. We will need all drivers physical DL, proof of Insurance for validity and to make a copy for our records. Review and sign the Rental Agreement.
GJR Staff will go over proper operation and safekeeping procedures for Soft & Hard Rooftops, Side Panels, etc. It is the customer's responsibility to take due care with ALL components of the Soft & Hard tops.
Your vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel. It will be the customers responsibility to return it with a full tank to avoid refueling charges unless you purchase Prepaid Fuel. We appreciate it and you will too.
There is a 200/mile day mileage allowance. Typically, most folks do not exceed the allowable, however, in the event that you do there is a $0.30 per mile charge.
Make sure to check the current weather and dress appropriately. Remember this is Montana and the weather can change quickly. Make sure you have the proper gear for the occasion.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO YOU OFFER AIRPORT PICK-UP AND DELIVERY?
Unfortunately, we cannot conduct business on airport property. You can call either Glacier Transport: 406-314-5337 or Jacey Mountain Shuttle: 406-212-2149. Uber or Lyft are options as well. We are about 10 minutes from the airport.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
For all rentals that are cancelled prior to 7 days of the rental date, a full refund will be given. Inside of the 7 days prior to the scheduled pick-up time, a refund of 50% will be given. If cancellation occurs within 24 hours, or the day of the rental, there is no refund. GJR is not responsible for weather conditions and therefore, no refunds will be provided due to weather.
CAN THE JEEPS/VEHICLES GO OFF-ROAD?
Our jeeps are permitted to travel off of the asphalt roads on many of the maintained gravel roads found in our area. We do NOT allow for our jeeps to travel on any hardcore 4x4 trails where you could get lost, stuck, or mechanically broken. There are a number of local National forest roads etc. that you can take our jeeps on to get off the beaten path and experience the wonderful Montana outdoors. Should you choose to go on any of these roads less traveled you will be responsible for any and all damage or recovery costs that may occur.
WHEN CAN I PICK THE VEHICLE UP?
Our vehicles can be picked up during normal business hours.Contact us to coordinate special requests outside of normal business hours. We may not be able to accommodate all special requests.
ARE YOU NEAR EAST GLACIER?
No, we are 2.5 hours from East Glacier
ARE YOU NEAR WHITEFISH?
Yes, 10 miles 10-20 minutes, depending on where you are.
DO YOU HAVE HARD TOPS OR SOFT TOPS?
Typically most of our jeeps have hard tops on. Every jeep with a hard top comes with, "Freedom Panels", that can be removed with ease so you can enjoy the outdoors when the weather is great and can be closed should the weather gets bad or you would like to have the jeep closed in. If you have preference on what type of top we would ask that you make the request prior to your arrival. These requests are not guaranteed.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A ROOFTOP TENT AND A GROUND TENT?
We offer 2 & 4 person gear for the rooftop tents as well as 2 & 4 person camping sets (ground tent). Our ground tents offer the ability to set up once, letting you leave camp at ease whenever you'd like. Our rooftop tents are a fun way to camp above the ground! DO YOU STILL RENT ROOFTOP TENTS ON JEEPS?
As of March, 2024 we no longer offer the rooftop rentals for our jeeps unless already booked. We are still offering the rooftop tent rentals on the SmittyBilt Trailer and the ground tent rentals.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Yes! We love dogs! We just ask that you clean up after them. If there is a large amount of mud inside the vehicle and/or hair, we will charge a $50-$100 pet cleaning fee. There's a vacuum/carwash right down the road from us! Most trails in GNP do NOT allow dogs! Please research into what trails you're taking so your companion can come along!
ADVENTURE READY WRANGLER
These jeeps are lifted, have big tires and look overall awesome. We have our lifted jeeps with the option of hard-top & soft-tops. Please let us know if you'd prefer one or the other! We cannot guarantee it, but if your preference is available we'll put you in that jeep! Please keep in mind, most jeeps that are built & have bigger tires, tend to not drive as well as a stock vehicle would. If you're planning on traveling longer distances, it may be best to choose our Glacier Premier Wrangler. If you have any further questions about this, please reach out!
HOW CAN I GET A RESERVATION TO DRIVE ON GOING ON THE SUN ROAD?
Due to the recent changes in Glacier National Park there is a ticketing/advanced reservation system for several roads like Going on the Sun Road. Please visit their website for more information.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO RENT A JEEP?
Picture of valid driver's license & a picture or auto insurance coverage for liability & comprehensive/collision that covers all drivers. The policy must be applicable to drivers and must extend to rental vehicles. All drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age Credit card on to pay for 100% of the rental when you book and a $250.00 incidentals deposit will be charged two weeks before the reservation date. Larger deposit for the Polaris General 1000 and Pontoon.
CAN YOU DELIVER THE VEHICLE TO OUR LOCATION?
MULTI-DAY RENTALS ONLY Yes, we can deliver to your location within a 20-mile radius of our location. We do not offer delivery and pick-up same day. This is a two day minimum. Please reach out to us to discuss options. We are no longer offering delivery and/or pick-up that is further than the West Glacier Entrance. We cannot conduct business within the park, please reach out to us and we may be able to meet you at the entrance. Excludes airport.
WHAT IS A RENTAL DAY? HOW DO YOU CHARGE?
Our rental day is charged by the day (8AM-5PM), not 24 hours. Booking a vehicle 8AM-8AM will automatically charge you two days in our system. Please reach out to us to avoid any additional charges. As for late charges, one hour past your scheduled return time is a grace period and you will not be charged. After that, every hour that you are late is a $50 charge. After four hours, you will be charged another full day. If we don’t hear from you and a full 24 hours has passed with no return, we will then be keeping the security deposit and charging a full rental day for every day that it is not returned.

CAMPING AND MEALS

DEPOSITS
Security Deposits will be charged to your card within 2 weeks prior to your rental pick up date.
Security Deposits are fully refundable
BEAR SPRAY?
We send out one can of bear spray with every jeep. They will be sent with Tahoes/Yukons/Side-by-Sides upon request only. It is free to take with you during your trip. We will charge $50 per can if missing or used. If you'd like more than one can, please let us know ahead of time.
GLACIER PREMIER WRANGLER
If you're looking for something that isn't big, lifted and doesn't stand out, this may be the perfect jeep for you! These jeeps tend to do better on highways & long-distance trips. Most of our Premier Wranglers have hard-tops, and some do have soft-tops. If you have a preference, please let us know so we can try to put you in that jeep.
